New syllabus from 2013.
सामान्य क्षमता चाचणी:
प्रश्नसंख्या – १०० एकूण गुण – १०० दर्जा – पदवी वेळ – १ तास प्रश्न स्वरूप – वस्तुनिष्ठ
१. चालू घडामोडी – जागतिक तसेच भारतातील
२. नागरिकशास्त्र – भारताच्या घटनेचा प्राथमिक अभ्यास, राज्य व्यवस्थापन (प्रशासन), गरम व्यवस्थापन (प्रशासन)
३. आधुनिक भारताचा विशेषत: महाराष्ट्राचा इतिहास
४. भूगोल (महाराष्ट्राच्या भूगोलाच्या विशेष संदर्भासह): पृथ्वी, जगातील विभाग, हवामान, अक्षांश-रेखांश, महाराष्ट्रातील जमिनीचे प्रकार, पर्जन्यमान, प्रमुख पिके, शहरे, नद्या, उद्योगधंदे, इत्यादी.
५. अर्थव्यवस्था – भारतीय अर्थव्यवस्था – राष्ट्रीय उत्त्पन्न, शेती, उद्योग, परकीय व्यापार, बँकिंग, लोकसंख्या, दारिद्र्य , मुद्रा आणि राजकोषीय नीती इत्यादी.
शासकीय अर्थव्यवस्था – अर्थसंकल्प, लेखा, लेखा परीक्षण इत्यादी
६. सामान्य विज्ञान– भौतिकशास्त्र, रसायनशास्त्र, प्राणीशास्त्र, वनस्पतीशास्त्र व आरोग्यशास्त्र.
७. बुद्धिमापन चाचणी व अंकगणित

@Anupama, you need to prepare according to the exam syllabus. Cut offs differ with every exam. Never focus your preparation on the basis of cut offs. Yes, to join PGP, refer “Courses” menu.

@Sagar, you should read basic books on economy from 9th to 12th Std and then advanced books.
sir i have completed my b.pharm & currently doing a job. ani mla june 2016 chi STI exam dyaychi ahe. but sir i have very little knowledge about this exam. so is it possible to cover up whole syllabus upto june? & how can i prepare for this? if u have weekend classes also then plz tell me sir. & most imp mla job krun preparation krta yeil ka?

@लहू, हो, प्रत्येक चुकीच्या उत्तराला त्या प्रश्नासाठी असलेल्या गुणाचे 0.25% गुण कमी होतात. सध्या प्रत्येक प्रश्नाला 1 गुण आहे. समजा चार उत्तरे चुकलीत तर प्रत्येकी 0.25% म्हणजे एकूण 1 गुण कमी होईल.

@Vishwanath, yes, you do combined study for all these exams, over a period of 1-2 years. Prepare a list of similar and dissimilar subjects/topics for these exams and then plan your studies. If you join our PGP then we will plan it for you and provide you study material and tests.

@Pravin, Applicant must be a domicile of Maharashtra (even if they are from other states). But if they are not domicile of Maharashtra then they can’t apply for MPSC STI exam.

@Pratik, yes, normally people use the term MPSC for Rajyaseva exam. STI is different exam. Every exam of MPSC has two/three stages, i.e. Prelims, Mains and/or Interview.
