New syllabus from 2013.
सामान्य क्षमता चाचणी:
प्रश्नसंख्या – १०० एकूण गुण – १०० दर्जा – पदवी वेळ – १ तास प्रश्न स्वरूप – वस्तुनिष्ठ
१. चालू घडामोडी – जागतिक तसेच भारतातील
२. नागरिकशास्त्र – भारताच्या घटनेचा प्राथमिक अभ्यास, राज्य व्यवस्थापन (प्रशासन), गरम व्यवस्थापन (प्रशासन)
३. आधुनिक भारताचा विशेषत: महाराष्ट्राचा इतिहास
४. भूगोल (महाराष्ट्राच्या भूगोलाच्या विशेष संदर्भासह): पृथ्वी, जगातील विभाग, हवामान, अक्षांश-रेखांश, महाराष्ट्रातील जमिनीचे प्रकार, पर्जन्यमान, प्रमुख पिके, शहरे, नद्या, उद्योगधंदे, इत्यादी.
५. अर्थव्यवस्था – भारतीय अर्थव्यवस्था – राष्ट्रीय उत्त्पन्न, शेती, उद्योग, परकीय व्यापार, बँकिंग, लोकसंख्या, दारिद्र्य , मुद्रा आणि राजकोषीय नीती इत्यादी.
शासकीय अर्थव्यवस्था – अर्थसंकल्प, लेखा, लेखा परीक्षण इत्यादी
६. सामान्य विज्ञान– भौतिकशास्त्र, रसायनशास्त्र, प्राणीशास्त्र, वनस्पतीशास्त्र व आरोग्यशास्त्र.
७. बुद्धिमापन चाचणी व अंकगणित

Sir. I want to appear for MPSC exam but i do not have Caste Validity Certificate(OBC) .
My education is finished 5 years back, please let me know wheather i can appear for the exam?
Is caste validity certificate important to get job in government?
If yes then what is the way out ?

@Sonali, apply for the CVC and start preparation for 2013. If you wish, you may apply as an Open candidate without claiming OBC facilities. Remember, this effect will be permanent till you retire from service. It means NO consideration for promotion and other benefits of OBC. You will be considered as Open category till the last.
Thanks for the reply, Sir. But my present age is 31 and i will have only 2 years in my hand if i apply through Open Category. That’s why i am bothered about CVC. I have Caste Certificate with me. But i heard from my friend that i can not apply for CVC directly.
My education is finished so i can not apply through College. And i am not working anywhere so can not apply through any Office also. So can i apply for CVC after getting selected through MPSC? Or CVC is required before selection?

@Mithun, please DO NOT put same query multiple times. All of your scores are less than expected cut offs. PSI – 210-220, STI- 180-190, RS – 100-110.

@Shital, where are you my dear? PSI form last date is already over; it was 31st March 2012. For STI, last date is 28 April. For Asst, the notification will be issued in April 2012 so keep your eye on this blog.

@Abhishek, there is no requirement of percentage at MPSC Rajyaseva exam, so keep the tension away and start preparing for the exam, wholeheartedly.
