@Krishnika, no need to choose optional subjects as they have been removed. There are compulsory subjects only so plz refer the exam syllabus available under “MPSC Rajyaseva” menu on this blog. You need to refer eProspectus for the list of books.

I am Development Officer in LIC. I always aspired for MPSC exam. I don’t get enough time to study. But I am ready to take hard work n study for the same. Is it important to join classes for the exam or one can study on his own n clear the exam. Also the study material practice papers & other related material should be how much is my question. I have been good in studies & been a bright student. If I study for 4 hrs daily can I clear the exam. I belong to SC category & have age relaxation too. Just guide me sir for correct approach towards this exam.

@Rohit, plz understand that if you do not get ENOUGH time then how can you work hard? You need to find time else leave the dream of MPSC. Yes, if 4 hours daily then 1 year is needed for the preparation. Please read all the success mantras given here (bottom links).

@रणजीत, तसे काही नाही. जर तुमच्याकडे सर्व स्टडी मटेरियल असेल आणि इंटरनेटशी जोडलेला असाल तर एखाद्या जंगलात सुद्धा अभ्यास होवू शकतो. आमचा रोहित ढवले (जो राज्यसेवा पूर्व परीक्षा क्लियर झाला) तो अगोदर पुण्यातच होता आणि माझ्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली त्याने कबनूर (कोल्हापूर जिल्हा) येथे राहून एक वर्षभर तयारी केली आणि सफलता मिळवली. पुण्यातील काही जणांनी आमचा पिजीपी जॉईन केलेला आहे आणि घरी बसूनच तयारी करत आहेत. तर मित्रा, उगीच टेन्शन घेवू नकोस आणि सखोल अभ्यास कर.

@Sandip, you should refer the syllabus and also have a look at previous exam papers. Collect maximum books, prepare your study plan for next few months and start preparing.

@गौतम, मित्रा, अभ्यासक्रमानुसार सखोल अभ्यास करायचा असेल तर मुख्य परीक्षेसाठी ६ ते ७ महिने लागतात आणि मग पूर्व परीक्षेसाठी जवळपास ३ महिने. परंतु हे प्रत्येकाच्या पोटेन्शियल वर आधारित असते. तुला पूर्ण वेळ अभ्यास करणे जमत असेल तर तुझा प्रयत्न कर एक महिन्यात पूर्व परीक्षेसाठी अभ्यास पूर्ण करण्याचा.

@श्रीधर, मित्रा, ह्यासाठी तुला संपूर्ण अभ्यासक्रमाचा अगदी सखोलपणे जास्तीत जास्त पुस्तकातून, मासिके व वर्तमानपत्रे वाचून अभ्यास करावा लागेल. आपण काय व कशी तयारी करतो आणि परीक्षेत कोण किती उत्तरे अचूक सोडवतो ह्यावर अवलंबून असते फक्त अभ्यास आतापासून केला ह्यावर नसते.

@Pravin, आता हात चांगला झाला असेल तर काहीच अडचण नाही. हाताने पोलीस सब इन्स्पेक्टर ची कामे करण्यात अडचण येत असेल तर मग नाही जमणार. तुमच्या सिविल सर्जनला भेटून तपासणी करून घ्यावी किंवा त्यांना हात दाखवून त्यांचे मत घ्यावे.

@प्रवीण, You should refer the syllabus and buy maximum books, say 70 – 80 for Prelims + Mains. Plan your studies according to the available time, number of books. Complete your entire preparation of Mains well before Prelims and then shift to Prelims when it is 3 months away.

@विक्रम, सर्व प्रथम अभ्यासक्रमानुसार जास्तीत जास्त पुस्तके घ्यावीत, प्रत्येक महिन्याला २ ते ३ मासिके व दररोज २ वर्तमानपत्रे वाचावीत. सर्व पुस्तकांचा सखोल अभ्यास करावा आणि स्वत:चे नोट्स तयार करून, त्यांची रिविजन करावी आणि मग सराव परीक्षा द्याव्यात.

i gave latest mpsc pre 2013 exam n without preparation 65 ans were correct. nw i want to do full preparation.

sir ,i have started prepairing sti 1 month before would it possible to crack sti pre. ? what is cut off for girls? books should i go? how many posts are thr through sti?
@Maithili, you should have started well before 6 months (at least). Now, try to devote full time till exam is over. Cut offs can be guessed only after the exam and posts are declared by MPSC so my guess is around 400+.
