@Fortune, next time please mention your real name else I will not reply. Now, there are only 2 descriptive papers (English and Marathi), remaining papers are objective so no question writing answers in specific medium. Question papers are set in English and Marathi language.

@Balaji, the advertisement will come in Jun 2012. Agricultural Prelims exam is on 5th Aug 2012 and Main exam is on 11 Nov 2012. So you should immediately start preparation for Prelims. You are already too late to start.

@Manjusha, you can go for UPSC Civil Services (IAS/IPS), MPSC Rajyaseva (Deputy Collector, DYSP/ACP, Tehsildar, etc), PSI, STI, Assistant exams. Last dates of filling up forms for 2012 (for first exams) are already over. You can prepare for 2013 or go for STI for which last date is 20th April. See main page of this blog for exact link.

Sir,I have applied for the Rajya seva Pre.-2012,however I am not able to update my transaction id,today I have uploaded it successfully however I am not able to select the exam center.I have called the VAST,soft.PVT. they told me that you will automatically get the exam center.I am not getting the procedure & now I want to change the center & the site authorities are not assisting me on that.Please guide.

@Mahesh, no physical criteria is required for MPSC Rajyaseva (min height of 165cms and chest 84cms is required for only Dy SP/ACP.) Max age limit for MPSC Rajyaseva is 33 yrs for Open category and 30 yrs for UPSC Civil Services)

@Rohan, major difference between MPSC State and UPSC Civil Services is that the officer selected through former is supposed to work within the state and assists his superior officer who is selected through the latter. For example, Deputy Collector (MPSC) assists his superior, the Collector, who is an IAS (UPSC). The same case is with Dy SP/ACP (MPSC) and IPS (UPSC). However, the officers selected through MPSC get chances to improve their career after certain number of years and shift their cadre to IAS/IPS.

@Sumit, yes, a prospectus of Rajyaseva exam contains syllabus of Prelims, Mains as well as list of books for these exams. There are separate eProspectus for PSI/STI/Asst/UPSC, too.

@Amrita, there is no limit on attempts. You can give the exam till you reach the age of 33 yrs (open category). If you are ready to devote 8 to 12 hours everyday then you can cover the Prelims’ syllabus in next 85 days, else prepare for 2013 exam.
