(3) Maharashtra, India and World Geography – Physical, Social, Economic Geography of
Maharashtra, India and the World. (महाराष्ट्राचा, भारताचा व जगाचा भौतिक, सामाजिक व आर्थिक भूगोल)
(4) Maharashtra and India – Polity and Governance – Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj,Urban Governance, Public Policy, Rights issues, etc. (महाराष्ट्राची व भारताची राज्यव्यवस्था आणि शासन)
(5) Economic and Social Development – Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion,

Note 1 : Negative Marking – 0.33% for each wrong answer (except Decision Making and Problem Solving)
Note 2: Questions relating to Marathi and English Language Comprehension skill of Class X/XII level (last item in the Syllabus of Paper II) will be tested through passages from Marathi and English language without providing cross translation thereof in the question paper.
Note 3 : The questions will be of multiple choice, objective type.
Note 4 : It is mandatory for the candidate to appear in both the Papers of State Services (Prelim) Examination for the purpose of evaluation. Therefore a candidate will be disqualified in case he / she does not appear in both the papers of State Services (Prelim) Examination.

Q paper I : pattern is simple each question has 2 marks and only 0.33% will be deducted for wrong
choice….but I am not getting exact marks distribution for Q paper II ….I mean there are 80 Que and 200 marks out of which negative system is not applicable for last 74-80 Ques and also max marks for each Que in this is 2.5(74-80) and questions are only 7 so this is little bit confusing. What about marks distribution for other question. Even on the last years question paper it is not mentioned.
So can you please help me with this issue.
@Sagar, Paper II: there are 80 questions for 200 marks so each question has 2.5 marks (including the Ques#74-80). No marks will be cut for Decision Making questions, i.e. 74-80. It’s simple. Even if your answer is wrong for any of the questions from 74-80, no marks are deducted for it. [80 x 2.5 = 200]. Negative marking is applicable only for questions #1-73 so 1/3rd marks of the question will be cut for each wrong answer.

@अनिता, अभ्यासक्रमानुसार जास्तीत जास्त पुस्तके जमवावीत. मासिके, वर्तमानपत्रे वाचून नोट्स काढावेत. जो पर्यंत तुम्ही लिखित स्वरूपात स्टडी प्लान तयार करत नाही तो पर्यंत सर्व अभ्यासक्रम पूर्ण करता येणार नाही. कारण असे होईल कि १० पुस्तके वाचून नोट्स काढायला ४ महिने जातील. बाकी उरलेली ४० पुस्तके वाचयला व नोट्स काढायला वेळच उरणार नाही आणि तो पर्यंत परीक्षा डोक्यावर आलेली असेल. म्हणून स्टडी प्लान तयार करा आणि तो अंमलात सुद्धा आणा.

@Harish, you should be a graduate. Your service period is deducted from your age and then 3 yrs added to it (this will be your current age).

@Ravindra, refer maximum books (topic-wise) and then read from each book (same topic) and then make concise but detailed Notes so that even if you read them after 6 months, you should be able to recall entire topic.

@Sagar, you must devote 3 to 4 hrs everyday for 1 year and prepare strictly according to the syllabus by reading maximum books, magazines, newspapers, etc.

Dear Sir…I am a Doctor by profession studying for UPSC since 2 years but no success in prelims (as i cant give enough time for study) but this time i gave MPSC and after answer keys are out my score is coming around 134 (total)…is there any chance for me to go for main exam…if yes then can i go through an extensive coaching within a short period at your academy…Guide please…
