hello sir,i have given MPSC prelim of 9th May from NT D category,My score is 101,is there any chance for me…???
@Varsha, sorry to inform you that the cut-off for NTD is 140. The result is declared today and you can check it here: https://anilmd.wordpress.com/announcements/
Sir,
thnx a lot for such a wonderful n innovative guidance
but sir i m interested to know on which basis you hav calculated the cut off for OBC. How can it be so low as 105. wating for your valuable guidance
thnx
@Abhijit, MPSC has declared the cut-off as well as result. All assumptions have been proved wrong.
Hi,
I got 101 marks excluding negative marks in rajyaseva prelim exam 9th may 2010.I am from ladies open category.I have declared as non-creamy layer. So is there any chance for me this time?
@Sushma, yes you have a chance this time.
plz send me the result of 9th may 2010 exam if it declare
@Dhanashri, it is not yet declared.
dear sir please see the artcle below.
Creamy layer slab hiked to Rs 4.5 lakh
Families earning more than Rs 4.5 lakh per annum will now be considered “creamy layer” among OBCs, up from Rs 2.5 lakh earlier
Published on 10/03/2008 – 18:33:29 PM
New Delhi: India’s cabinet on Friday sharply hiked the income limit to ascertain the ‘creamy layer’ among Other Backward Castes (OBCs) to make more people from socially deprived groups eligible for affirmative action.
Families earning more than Rs 4.5 lakh per annum will now be considered “creamy layer” among OBCs, up from Rs 2.5 lakh earlier, as per the decision taken by a meeting of the union cabinet on Friday.
“This would be in keeping with economic changes which have taken place since February 2004, when the income criteria was last revised,” Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi said after the meeting.
iss it true???
@Deep, Yes, it is true and is implemented since 2008. OBC children belonging to any family that earns a total gross annual income( from sources other than salary and agricultural land of Rs. 450,000 (the income ceiling for creamy layer raised from 250,000 to 450,000 in October 2008) belong to the creamy layer.
sir, i belongs to obc creamy layer( due to income crossing 4.0L) then can i avail the benefit of OBC cat.? or i’ll be treated as OPEN?
@Deep, Open.
sir, how many seats are there for mpsc? there is rumour flying that there are very few seats this time.. is it true?
@Saroo, the final number will be informed by MPSC in Nov/Dec 2010 so dont worry. There would be more posts and services. NEVER believe rumours!!!
dear sir, is OBC noncreamy layer cirtificate required while submitting mpsc mains form? or during interview we can submit. whether Rs. 4,00,000.00 is the limit for noncreamy lyr or more?
@Deep, you have to submit it with Mains application. If income is less than 4 Lacs then you have to submit NCL certificate.
Logic : If income is above 4 Lacs then you are in Creamy Layer, so no certificate if required 🙂
Hello Sir,
By when we can expect results?
@Mahendra, as per norms, it should be declared within 3 months from the date of Prelims exam but you know, MPSC is a bit slow when it comes to processing time. Keep your fingers crossed for results but keep preparing for Main exam.
Sir,
Once result i sdeclared then there are how many days in hand to submit next form for MPSC MAIN exam? I am asking this because i have marked as non criminal and still i have to collect those document.
@Jayshree, you may get 7 days to 15 days so please keep everything ready.
sir,i have just watched ur assumption regarding the 2010 pre exams.i have scored 102 marks but again i think i will not be considered for ladies reservation as i have not submitted the non creamy layer cert.but deffinately next time this will not happen
@Asma, if you are referring to Rajyaseva Prelims about Non-creamy-layer certificate then dont worry, you have to submit at the time of Main exam. ok?
Sir,
I have scored 101 marks with revised answer key, excluding negative marks. Is there any chance for me?I belong to open category.
Thanks,
Jayshree
@Jayshree, I am sorry to say that you may not be clearing it this time but keep your fingers crossed till official result is out this month.
Even if you do not clear this time, you are supposed to have been preparing for Main exam, right? So it should not affect your continuous preparation. Time and again, I have been telling you people to prepare first for Mains and then Prelims. Please read my posts and you will understand.
I genuinely feel, you need my manual to clear your MPSC exam: https://anilmd.wordpress.com/mpsc-rajyaseva-main-exam/mpsc-success-mantra-the-complete-manual/
sir, i appeared for mpsc pre-2010.. i m scoring 126/200.. i m open merit.. last year cut off was 128.. whats the estimated cutoff this time..? was the paper easier of tougher than last year? i personally found it tougher than last year. do i have any chances?
@Saroo, it seems you have a chance this time because it is going to be low cut-off this year.
dear sir i belongs to OBC category. As per final answer key i scored 117.5 marks excluding negative marks. will i clear this pre. 2010? waiting for ur reply sir.
@Deep, you have a chance this time.
sir, iam a regular follower of ur blog, plz tell me wht r the similarities and diffrences in upsc and mpsc exam? will i need any diffrent stratergy to mpsc than upsc?
@Sameer, MPSC Prelims doesn’t have optional paper and MPSC Mains doesn’t have Essay paper. To appear in MPSC State Services, you must know Marathi language. The exam pattern is almost same for both exams except the above. There are some differences in syllabus so you need to compare it for MPSC and UPSC. The officers selected by UPSC serve all over India but those selected by MPSC serve within Maharashtra.
Sir, my score for prelims goes upto 126.25 excluding wrong answers. And I belong to OBC category. Can you pls. tell me is there any fair chance for me to qualify for the mains. I am bit confussed about cut-off line. Kindly guide. Thanking you in anticipation.
Regards,
Suyog Salgarkar
@Suyog, Congratulations in advance. I am pretty sure, you will make it this time. If you haven’t yet started your preparation for the Mains then you are very late, okay? So start it immediately.
sir, with excluding negative marks i have scored 137.75 marks is there any chances of clearing it? is there is any cofirmation @ increasement in no .of posts? i am from open category.
@Suraj, this time you may have a chance due to low cut-off but keep your fingers crossed till the result is out. However, I advise you to start preparing for Main exam immediately.
sir, i am from open category and according to revised answer key i have scored 137.75 marks including negative system. can i clear the prelim with this score? &what is d expected date of mains exam? i had listen that there are chances of increasement in the posts,is it confirmed?
@Suraj, you need to exclude your wrong answers. Please exclude it and let me know the final score. Please check the Final Answer Key from this location:
https://anilmd.wordpress.com/mpsc-rajyaseva-prelims/answer-key-mpsc-rajyaseva-prelims-9th-may-2010/
sir
After prelim 2010 result ,What is probable duration available for study for main exam?
@Sunil, you get barely 2 to 3 months. So it is always sensible to start your preparation for Main exam before 1 year of Prelims and resume it soon after the Prelims is over.
hi myself dr sweta my scoring is 137 is that enough to qualify?i belong to sc category

@Atul, I am myself waiting for the official declaration of cut-off line. There would be a low cut-off this year but since you are from Open cat, I can’t say anything. Even f you clear or not, you should have been studying for Mains 2010 or Mains 2011. Please read other posts to understand, why?

Thanks,
Jayshree
@Jayshree, I am afraid, you may not qualify for Mains this year because of low score and open category. However, please do not lose hopes, keep your fingers crossed. Sir I have appeared for MPSC prelims 2010 held on 09.05.2010. I have 138 correct answers. It means that I have a score of 123 – 124 with me. Is this sufficient for my qualification for Mains. I am from OBC Category. Please guide me. Also please inform me when would be the mains be held. I am an Inspector from CBI presently posted in Mumbai having a bit tight schedule. If I qualify for the mains I would again give you a bit trouble to plan my studies.
Thanking you.
Ganesh.
@Ganesh Congrats. I think this year the cut-off will be very low so there are chances for you. Yes, of course I will help you. I suggest you book the MPSC Success Mantra – The Complete Manual as soon as possible: https://anilmd.wordpress.com/mpsc-rajyaseva-main-exam/mpsc-success-mantra-the-complete-manual/
The Main exam will be in Oct/Nov or Nov/Dec 2010.
i am a 3rd yr engg. student,i want to appear for the mpsc pre 2011….so how should i start my preparations….
@Mayur, plz check your email for details.
Hello sir,
First of all i would like to thank you for all the help.
As per MPSC statistics for 2009-prelims the cut-off for open category was 128/200. This is published on the MPSC site.
2009 was the year negative marking was initiated and so there has been a drop in the cut-off, since.
As far as 2010 is considered the prelim paper was slightly more challenging than the 2009 paper and the number of posts available in different departments are more so the expected cut-off this year will reduce by about 15 marks.
So for open category the estimated cut-off will be around 113.
The above assumptions have been made based on data from different sources.
Thank You.
@Vinit, as I have seen this year the cut-off was raised than the previous year (e.g. ASST/STI 2009). However, we will have to wait for official announcement.
sir i have 100 marks
i m from OBC category
will i succeed?
@Swapnil, No, it is a bit difficult. As per previous years’ record, you need 140+ to get through. Please do not lose hope; start your preparation for MPSC 2011.
Sir,
I had given mpsc pre exam on 9th may and got 119 marks excluding wrong marks ….belongs to obc category…there are any chances for me????
@Reshnma, you have a chance this time.
Sir, I had given mpsc preliminary 2010 today…and i solved 135 /200 correct
including negative …belongs to sc category…where i stand?
@Harshal, It seems you are going to qualify…Congratulations in advance. Please wait for my study plan for Mains exam. In the meantime, if you wish, book your copy of MPSC Success Mantra at this location: https://anilmd.wordpress.com/mpsc-success-mantra-the-complete-manual/ and also refer to this: http://wp.me/PPyoH-5h
Sir,according to Cut offs you specified, i am finding myself on the edges of cut-off as there is possibility of 3-4 less marks than what i specified, thats why i m not getting clear picture of my position..please guide me.
What is the expected cut-off for OBC this year? Where can I get Answer Key for the prelim? Appreciate your help. Thanks.
@Harshal, Leave this worry aside. Start your studies for the Main exam. If you qualify for Mains then good. If you do not qualify this time, you are at least ready for 2011. Please understand that this exam needs at least 1 year’s preparation. You have 5 and 1/2 months, use them and cover every topic of all subjects of Main exam.
@Harshal, at this moment MPSC has not yet declared the cut-off line for any category, please wait. What was your Set #? A?
Sir,My SET was B.
@Harshal, I have posted the Key to Set A & B on the blog, please check them.
