New syllabus for Rajyaseva Prelims has been introduced from 2013. Here it is : New Syllabus
Fast-Track Study Plan (4th April to 8th May 2010)
This study plan is for ONLY those candidates who could not start the preparation earlier due to their other academic exams, etc.
Since some aspiring candidates could not start their preparations due to their busy schedule and/or other academic exams; they now have 35 days left for the preparation of MPSC State Services Prelims Exam which is on 9th May 2010. This study plan is divided as Main Study Plan and Revision.
You must spend minimum 8 to 10 hours everyday. If you can study 12-16 hours everyday then you can easily cover each and every detail of the subjects.
My recommendation is between 10 hours minimum to 16 hours maximum, everyday.
I have allotted number of days to each subject according to its importance in the examination. You should plan your study accordingly.
Main Study Plan – 4th Apr to 30th Apr 2010 (27 Days)
| SUBJECT/TOPICS | DAYS TO BE ALLOTTED FOR PREPARATION | |
| Vidhnyan and Abhiyantriki (Science and Technology) | : | 05 Days |
| Vaanijya and Arthvyavastha (Commerce and Economics) | : | 05 Days |
| Bhugol (Geography) | : | 03 Days |
| Krushi (Agriculture) | : | 03 Days |
| Bhartiya Rajyapaddhati (Indian Polity) | : | 03 Days |
| Buddhimapan (Mental Ability) | : | 02 Days |
| Itihaas (Modern History) | : | 02 Days |
| Samaj Sudharak (Social Reformers) | : | 02 Days |
| Gram Prashasan (Village Administration) | : | 02 Days |
| Jagtik Ghadamodi (National and International) | : | 02 Hours everyday from 4th Apr to 30th April |
NOTE: Since Chaalu Ghadamodi is a vast topic and there is a lot to be read, you should spend about 2 hours everyday to cover this huge topic.
ALLOTMENT OF NUMBER OF DAYS FOR PREPARATION
April – 27 days should be divided as per my personal plan which is appended here for your ready reference. You may start with your favorite subjects according to your preference and interest in subjects/topics but please do not change the number of days allotted because of the importance given in the exam paper.
| From – To | Days | Subject / Topic |
| 4th Apr – 8th Apr | 5 | Vaanijya and Arthvyavastha (Commerce and Economics) |
| 9th Apr – 13th Apr | 5 | Vidhnyan and Abhiyantriki (Science and Technology) |
| 14th Apr – 16th Apr | 3 | Krushi (Agriculture) |
| 17th Apr – 19th Apr | 3 | Bhugol (Geography) |
| 20th Apr – 22nd Apr | 3 | Bhartiya Rajyapaddhati (Indian Polity) |
| 23rd Apr – 24th Apr | 2 | Gram Prashasan (Village Administration – Local Administration) |
| 25th Apr – 26th Apr | 2 | Itihaas (Modern History) |
| 27th Apr – 28th Apr | 2 | Samaj Sudharak (Social Reformers) |
| 29th Apr – 30th April | 2 | Buddhimapan (Mental Ability) |
| 4th April – 30 April | 2 Hours everyday | Jagtik Ghadamodi (Current Affairs – National and International) |
| Total Days Allotted | 27 |
During the above period while preparing, you must read carefully and make small notes on full-scale papers. Write in very small letters so that maximum notes can be written. You will need these notes for quick revision in May 2010. Do not write everything. You should read and understand everything and make very small (point-to-point notes) in 1 or 2 lines.
Since Chaalu Ghadamodi is a vast topic and there is a lot to be read, you should spend about 2 hours everyday to cover this huge topic.
All updated current affairs study material is available and can be downloaded from this URL: http://www.jeywin.com/study-material/
FINAL REVISION – 1st May – 7th May 2010
1st May – 7th May should be for revising your subjects’ notes. You must utilize whole day for study since all main points needs to be read for a given subject/topic during the whole day.
| Date | Hours | Subject / Topic |
| 1st May 2010 | 16 | Kala Ghatak |
| 2nd May 2010 | 16 | Vidhnyan & Abhiyantriki Ghatak |
| 3rd May 2010 | 16 | Vaanijya & Arthvyavastha Ghatak |
| 4th May 2010 | 16 | Krushi Vishayak Ghatak |
| 5th May 2010 | 16 | Chaalu Ghadamodi/ Buddhimapan |
| 6th May 2010 | 16 | Solve Test Papers |
| 7th May 2010 | 16 | Solve Test Papers |
| 8th May 2010 | 24 | Total Rest is needed to calm your mind so that you can recollect at the time of your exam next day. Remember, DO NOT read anything on this day. |
| 9th May 2010 | – | Exam Day |

Respected Sir,
Can i you give list of study material which would be in English, i would also like to go for your crash course mention in other blog, but for me 9000 is bit expensive can you tell me is there any other option.
Thankyou.
@Amit, we will give you 8 books in English + 3 books in Marathi (Agriculture, Commerce and Economy, question paper set). The fees is logical because of costly books. I can’t help with the fee because of this reason.
sir i am 3rd year student what is syllebus for engg student of mpsc main & pri
it is same or diff ?
What r the special option for engg student in mains ?
@Mohit, if you are asking about MPSC Rajyaseva Pre and Main exam then there is no separate syllabus for Engineering students. There is different exam for them MPSC Engg Services Exam for which there is different syllabus.
As a general candidate, you can appear in Rajyaseva (State Services Exam) and you can become Dy Collector, Dy SP, Tehsildar, or other class I or II officer.
Dear Sir,
An officer joined State Police Service as Dy.SP/ACP and get promoted as
SP/DCP after this slab will he serve into state police service or serve under
Indian Police Service and how long it will take a state service officer to get into IPS
@Rohit, a Dy SP can become SP after serving minimum service of 10-12 yrs as Dy SP. After becoming SP also he will not be IPS, but he must serve min. 5 yrs to get into IPS cadre and for this he/she needs to clear an exam. Some people even do not get a chance to become IPS and they retire.
Hi Sir,
how r u sir pls tell me, will it be more tough to give MPSC exam in english language , sir i hve noticed that for the candidates, who will appear the exams in eng its pretty difficult for them to collect study material.pls tell m the solution
regards
@Rohit, do not worry, we have managed to get study material in English. so you can join our 1 Month’s Crash Course (Fee Rs.5400/-). If you are more comfortable in English then you will fare better than you will in Marathi.
Sir,
You r doin a damn good job 4 the civil services aspirants.
i wanted 2 ask u that since i have completed my education in english medium, i find studying in marathi pretty difficult. Although i understand it completely.
So it will do a world of good to me if u suggest me any english books or study material.
Eagerly watin 4 ur reply..
@Pawan, did you receive my email with the list?
Dear Sir,
kindly tell me the concept of creamy layer and I m SC what is the age limit for MPSC state service exams

Give me proper guidance & timetable to study for feb 13 MPSC prelim
@Dhananjay, you need to register for 2 Months’ PGP. Here are the details:https://anilmd.wordpress.com/about-ads-ias-academy/mpsc-pre-2011-2-months-pgp/

Respected Sir,
I Rohit jain have completed my engineering and now preparing for Mpsc but finding difficult to go through the Marathi Prelims material available in market. I have almost completed my mains optional preparation.

I had one more query. I am recently married, but do not have Marriage certificate. So please confirm by which name should I register myself for the exam, is it the Maiden name, or the Married name. I belong to OBC category hence will I require the NON-Creamy Layer Certificate, immediately. Do I have to pay the entire money in advance or is it that I can pay in Installments.
@Anagha, you should mention your maiden name only. You can submit the NCL certificate at the time of Main exam application form-filling process. You can pay our fees in 2 installments, Rs.20300/- at the time of registration and remaining within 30 days.
Sir, this is my first visit to u r web page. I am a M.C.M post graduate, working with one of the I.T organization as a PMO. I am completely unaware of the complete process, preparation, details, various post to which you can apply for via these exams, syllabus, difference between different Class Officer, most suitable department to work for women etc. Hence please could you guide me in this aspect.

@Deepak, you need complete 1 year for the preparation. Start with Rajyaseva Main exam’s syllabus and read every topic thrice, prepare notes, and finish all subjects of Main exam before 31st January. Then prepare for Prelims. After Prelims, again switch back to Mains and study the notes, magazines, etc. Give mock tests, too.
You should choose Marathi medium, if your English is not excellent.
Read the syllabus of the subjects you feel interested in and then decide them. Also check if enough study material is available for those subjects.

sir, i am vishal and i am regular reader of your blog.
sir i am preparing for UPSC 2011, i belong to VJ category, in the application form they do not include the category code. so sir i want to know about the reservation for vj candidates.
one of my friend told me that vj category is included in OBC for civil service exams so iam confused about the reservation.
please guide me.
@Vishal, as I can see, VJ is not separately given a code, it may have been included in OBC; you should send a letter and email to UPSC and seek the clarification. If you are below 30 yrs of age, I suggest you to study hard and get a place in top 200 and you can become either IAS or IPS. I am here to assist you, ok? Do not worry about reservation etc.
