पूर्व परीक्षा ही बहूत्तरिय स्वरुपाची असते, म्हणजे एका प्रश्नाचे ४ उत्तर दिलेले असतात त्यापैकी सर्वात बरोबर उत्तर कोणत आहे ते अचूक निवडायचे असते. ह्यासाठी स्पीड आणि अचूकता ही महत्वाची असते. पेपर सोडवतांना प्रेझेन्स ऑफ माइंड असावे लागते म्हणजे उत्तर निवडताना कोणत उत्तर बरोबर नाही हे कळायला पाहिजे कारण त्यासाठी आपला कॉमन सेन्स वापरायचा असतो. हे ज्याला जमलं तोच जास्तीत जास्त गुण मिळवू शकतो पूर्वपरीक्षेत.
- सर्वात आधी मोडेल टेस्ट पेपर्स सोडवायची खूप प्रक्टिस करावी. त्यासाठी, १० ते ३० हजार प्रश्न असलेली पुस्तके घ्यावीत आणि त्यामधील प्रश्न पत्रिका २ तासात सोडवायची प्रक्टिस करावी. प्रक्टीसनेच परफेक्ट व्हाल आणि चुकीचे उत्तर देणे कमी होईल व निगेटिव्ह मार्किंग्च्या प्रश्नातून तुमची सुटका होईल.
- परीक्षेच्या वेळी एखादा प्रश्न कठीण वाटत असेल तर तो सोडून द्यावा व पुढील प्रश्न सोडवायचा प्रयत्न करावा. नंतर त्या प्रश्नाकडे परत यावे.
- ४ उत्तरांपैकी जर एकही उत्तर माहित नसेल तर त्यातील २ चुकीचे उत्तर सर्वात आधी काढुन टाकावेत आणि मग उरलेल्या २ उत्तरांपैकी कोणत उत्तर बरोबर आहे म्हणजे बेस्ट आहे ते शोधावे.
- प्रश्न अगोदर २ वेळा तरी वाचून घ्यावा म्हणजे त्याचा अर्थ तरी कळेल आणि मग त्याच उत्तर काय आहे ते नक्की करा कारण घाई गडबडीत उत्तर चुकण्याची भिती असते. काही वेळा असं होते कि शब्दांच्या अर्थामुळे उत्तर चुकतात. शब्दांचा अर्थ समजला कि मग उत्तर कोणत बरोबर आहे ते कळत.
- जर परत परत प्रयत्न करूनही उत्तर कोणतं बरोबर आहे ते कळत नसेल तर ते अनुत्तरीतच राहू द्यावे नाहीतर निगेटिव्ह मार्किंग्चा झटका बसेल. जोरका झटका धीरेसे लगे असं होईल.
- पेपर लवकरात लवकर कम्प्लीट करावा आणि मग सुरवातीपासून चेक करावा कि कोणते प्रश्न अजून बाकी आहेत सोडवायचे.
- पेपर सोडवतांना मध्ये मध्ये थोडा ब्रेक घ्यावा, ४ ते ५ सेकंदाचा, आणि ह्या वेळेत मोठा श्वास घेवून हळूहळू सोडावा, ह्यामुळे तुम्हाला औक्शीजन मिळेल व थोडसं टेन्शन कमी होईल.
राज्यसेवा पूर्वपरीक्षा म्हणजे यशाची पहिली पायरी आहे आणि ती जर चढून पुढे जाता आल तर मात्र यश पण जर ह्या पायरी वरून चढता आल नाही तर मग अपयश पदरी पडते. खुपजण पूर्वपरीक्षा जस्ट ट्राय करून पाहू अश्यासाठी देतात आणि मग अपयश आल तर खचून जातात. मी म्हणतो, अरे जर तुम्ही हेच कराव म्हणता तर उगीच आपल्या आई-बापांचा पैसा का व्यर्थ घालवता?
सर्व काही कष्टानेच मिळते, फुकट काय मिळते आजकाल? तुम्ही म्हणाल कि “हे काय, अनिल दाभाडे कडून आम्हाला फुकट मार्गदर्शन मिळते ना!!” पण अरे बाबांनो, ह्यात कष्ट आलेत की, तुमचे नाही पण माझे तरी आहेत ना?
प्रत्येक गोष्टीला एकतर पैसे खर्च करावे लागतात नाही तर कष्ट तरी लागतात.
आता मी हे जे लिहित आहे ते रात्री २ वाजता लिहित आहे तर तुम्हीच विचार करा कि मला किती कष्ट पडत असतील? तर मित्रांनो, जरा कष्ट करा अभ्यास करा आणि पूर्वपरीक्षेची पायरी चढून जा. मी तुमच्यासाठी दुसरी पायरी तयार करत आहे आणि हो हे लक्ष्यात ठेवा की ती पायरी पहिल्या पायरी पेक्षा खूप कठीण आहे…मी तुम्हाला घाबरवत नाही रे मित्रांनो, फक्त हे सांगत आहे की आताच्या कष्टांपेक्षा पुढे जास्त कष्ट आहेत. म्हणून आतापासूनच तयारीत रहा, खा प्या आणि स्वतःला मुख्य परीक्षेची पायरी चढून जायला सज्ज करा. घाबरू नका, अनिल दाभाडे तुमच्या पाठीशी आहे.

@Ravindra, yes, you can. Age relaxation is for “Ex-Servicemen” and those in the last year of service but not for serving people.

Dear sir, I am fresh graduated student. This is my first attempt for the “MPSC” examination. Now it has been only 55 days remaining for the STATE SERVICE EXAM. Is it possible to cover up all syllabus {including PAPER 1 and 2} before 7th APRIL 2013?
@Tushar, its your mistake that you did not start preparation 1 year back. If you can devote 10 to 14 hrs everyday from NOW onward, you may be able to cover the syllabus else prepare for 2014 exam.

MPSC, vide its notification http://mpsc.gov.in/announcements.jsp?head=1&status=1, has cancelled 57 posts of Maharashtra Audit & Account Services- grp B posts to be filled through Rajyaseva Mains conducted in 2012.
1. What implications it should have on cut-off / short list for interviews?
2. Whether such cancelled posts get filled up in the subsequent examinations?

@Natwar, yes, you can. One must have 40% or more disability to get the benefits. Please have a look at these conditions and check if you fin into any of these:
1) Locomotor disability : Means disability of the bones, joints or muscles leading to substantial restriction of the movement of the limbs or any form of cerebral palsy.
2) Cerebral palsy : Means a group of non-progressive conditions of a person characterised by abnormal motor control posture resulting from brain insult or injuries occuring in the prenatal, peri-natal or infant period of development.
3) All the cases of Orhopaedically handicapped persons would be covered under the category of “Locomotor disability” or “ Cerebral palsy”.
