As you all know that MPSC Rajyaseva Exam is among the toughest exams in India. To succeed in this exam, all you need is sustained efforts with intelligent preparation. This exam is impossible to crack without these two things.
Please answer my basic question, before we go any further. Why do you want to succeed in this exam?
Some of you may say “I want to join government service as there is no guarantee of jobs in private sector”. Some may say that “I want to serve the nation and the society”. That’s true. Some may say, “I can utilize my skills and education for betterment of the society, etc.” This is also true. All of your high moral aims are excellent and you should have them for the sake of country’s progress and betterment of the society.
And how can you achieve them? Yes, of course by clearing MPSC/UPSC exams. But, is it so simple to succeed in these exams? Is it a one month’s honeymoon? Is it so simple that one can sit for hours together for few weeks? For some, the answer for the latter question could be either Yes or No. But, tell me honestly, is it so simple? Your answer could and should be “NO”. Good, excellent dear. You are now on the success path.
I am very very busy with the writing of 3rd edition of MPSC Success Mantra – The Complete Manual but thought why not to take a small break and give you a quick small basic plan of 1 year preparation for the MPSC/UPSC 2012 and 2013 exams.
So boys and girls, here it is:
As of now, i.e. Dec 2011, you have 14 months in hand till you will be appearing in Prelims exam in Feb 2013.
As of now, you may have collected your basic books for Mains. If not, then do it NOW.
To appear in Prelims 2013, you have to prepare for Mains exam first and then Prelims and then again for Mains. How? Here is the explanation.
First, compare the syllabus for Prelims and Mains and underline what is for Mains and what is for Prelims.
2011: Dec = 1 month
2012: Jan to Dec = 12 months
2013: Jan = 1 month
From Dec 2011 to Sep 2012: Study Rigorously and prepare notes
Dec 2011 : MPSC- English & Marathi subjects (UPSC: English & Marathi & Essay)
Jan 2012 : General Studies Paper I
Feb 2012: General Studies Paper II
March 2012: Revise notes (GS I and II)
April 2012 : General Studies Paper III
May 2012 : General Studies Paper IV
Jun 2012: Revise notes (GS III and IV)
Jul 2012: Revise English & Marathi subjects
Aug 2012: Revise notes (GS I and II)
Sep 2012: Revise notes (GS III and IV)
From Oct to Dec 2012: 3 months – Study for Prelims
During these 4 months, read and study only for the topics that are covered in Prelims. In Mains, there are much more topics than Prelims; so compare the topics for both exams and do the preparation for Prelims by reading the notes you have already prepared during your preparation for Main exam (during last 10 months).
Jan 2013: Revision for Prelims.
This is ONLY a basic plan. I cannot spend much time on this here because of my busy schedule. The manual is nearing its completion.
There will be detailed Yearly/Half-Yearly/Quarterly/Monthly/Weekly/Daily study plans in the MPSC Success Mantra – The Complete Manual.
If you have not yet booked your copy of the manual, please do it urgently because I will be sending it personally to those who book it by paying the amount in advance and I am printing it only for these people. No body will get it anywhere in market. The manual will be sent by postal mail.
So this is your last chance to book the manual in advance to get your own copy else you will not get it as only limited copies are being printed.
To book it click HERE
If you have any doubts about the booking, you may call me any time at this number 8698277829 or 9987401168 between 9 AM to 2 AM (2 past Midnight). You may SMS if the number is busy, I will reply you back.
Good Luck friends.

hi sir,
i am snehal ..doing last year of comp engg.i want to do UPSC exam.so plz tell me all info about it.means all info like which exam i have to do technical or general or in which language.
@Snehal, while posting a message you wrote “Aditi Deshmukh” and in message you say you are “Snehal”, which is correct and which is incorrect name?
You need to appear in Civil Services Prelims exam in May 2011 (application to be collected and submitted to the Post Office in December 2010/Jan 2011). After clearing it, you need to appear in Main exam in Nov/Dec 2011. After clearing it, you will have to attend Interview in Feb/Mar/April 2011.
You can choose 2 optional subjects of your own choice from the list of allowed subjects.
You can choose to write the Main exam in either English or in Marathi.
The new pattern and syllabus of UPSC Prelims exam (CSAT – Civil Services Aptitude Test from 2011) is yet to be decided by UPSC, so watch out for it.
If you want to go for MPSC, then all information is available on this blog.
To plan your preparation for UPSC/MPSC exams, you will need this manual:

2. Jar Prelims clear karun Mains clear jhali nahi tarisuddha pudhil warshi Prelims clear karavich lagel.
You cannot give Mains in next year without clearing the next year’s Prelims.
Please can you give me information on the next MPSC and UPSC exams.

Good evenig,
sir,
As you suggested me that I can apply for both upscc & mpsc and i want to know that if i go for mpsc so can i apply for ips from this exam n i am 19 year old so can i start my study from today if yes so pleas tell me the syllabus of mpsc and which book may i refer and thank for guid me
@Pooja, please understand that you have to be 21 before you can apply for UPSC to become IPS. You can become Dy SP through MPSC so start your preparation now. After some years of service you can apply for IPS through limited exam that is conducted by MPSC for departmental aspirants.
Read my blog to know the syllabus and books. You can also book this manual: https://anilmd.wordpress.com/mpsc-rajyaseva-main-exam/mpsc-success-mantra-the-complete-manual/
Hello Sir,
I am a software engg. and working in software company. I am 26 years old now. last year I have appeared for STI exams first time and I scored 210/300 but 213 was cut off for NT3 so failed to appear for mains.
As I m working women and i have a 3 yrs old son and due to some financial reasons I can’t leave my job for preparation of MPSC Exams….
I Live in Mumbai so everyday I require 9 hrs in office, 4 hrs for travelling and 4 hrs for home. so for me it’s very difficult to manage time for study and home.
Preparation for state services will be very tough for me as I didn’t get time
I think MPSC State Services exams need more preparation than STI exams as STI mains have optional questions for mains. So I decided to prepare and concentrate only on STI and PSI exams…Plz correct me if I am wrong in my thinking.
I am really intersted for MPSC Exams and I can prepare for MPSC state exams also but time doesn’t permit me………….so plz guide me about how to manage time, how to prepare for exams, when is the next STI pre exam announcement, which study material do i use for preparation for STI Exams.?
I am looking forward for your positive response.
Thanks in advance
Warm Regards,
Sunita Sabale
@Sunita, yes, you are correct about optional subjects in State Services but not in STI/PSI. I have a suggestion here: Please choose 2 subjects from your graduation subjects so that you can do a little bit of extra efforts (Dy Collector/Dy SP is always better than Sub-Inspector, right? This will also help your son in the long run. I know, mothers are always great and they do sacrifice a lot for their child’s future so I salute you and wish you good luck if you choose to do it for 1 year, just 1 year and your and your son’s future will be far different. Please shift your current job to that is near to your home or shift your home to cut-down on travel. Employ a maid who can do house-hold chores. Ask your husband to read some lessons for you when you are working at home. Record CDs and listen when you take rest or during travel.
I am writing MPSC Success Mantra so book it immediately: https://anilmd.wordpress.com/mpsc-rajyaseva-main-exam/mpsc-success-mantra-the-complete-manual/
I know, you will come out successful in State Services. You will be among chosen few favourites of Anil Dabhade, that’s me! I will be there always to assist you in your preparation for Dy. Coll/Dy SP posts.
Please check your email for 2011 exam details.

8. No they aren’t sufficient. You need many books as explained above.
9. No. Mains first
10. Classes not necessary, not at all.
11. Plz refer to blog for syllabus and you will understand.
You should deposit Rs. 775/- in my SBI acct. Details are here: https://anilmd.wordpress.com/mpsc-rajyaseva-main-exam/mpsc-success-mantra-the-complete-manual/
Sir,
Thanks for ur support.
I am not clear in follwoing:
Just now I visited once again to optional subjects list and I saw subject Political Science and International Relations and then I navigated to it’s syllabus whose contents similar like Public Adminstration.
So can you plz elaborate what is the difference between Public adminstartion and Political Science?
and which one is the best for MPSC mains and scoring subject?
Which subject is best History or Geography?and why?
As per ur suggested books should I purchase following books:
1. GS I: Study Circle
2. GS II: Study Circle
3. Geography (India + Maharashtra) – by Study Circle
4. English: Wren and Martin (Is all topics like Gramemr, essay writing, letter writing is covered in this book?)
Do i need to purchase any other authors book for above subjects?
Plz suggest books for follwing
Public Administartion/ Political Science, Marathi, History….
