Sir, i managed to score only 140 in this year’s State Services Prelims. The main reason for my low score was that i have never found any of the GS I papers easy. I got only 52 in it this year.
I have not referred to NCERTs at all. But i read the following books twice:-

I am very disappointed by my score in Paper 1. I have not referred to the NCERTs at all, is that the reason for my failure? Please tell me what i am doing wrong. 2/3rd of the questions were not asked from the above books.
@Om, i appreciate your hard work. I see that you should be reading The Hindu, Indian Express, DNA and Loksatta. You might have missed very important news. You should NOT rely on the news of the day but should explore information related to that news (past) and also keep an eye on future happenings. You should also refer the NCERTs to know the basic concepts. There is lot to do my dear. Stick to you goal and keep working hard, you will succeed (mark my words).

I am OBC non-creamy layer candidate and I am confused for some form related information on MPSC profile.
Recently MPSC had asked to fill up “certificate number” for “caste/validity/domicile certificate ” .
My question is :
***1: On my caste certificate there is no mention of “Certificate Number” [there is no exact word such as “Certificate Number” ] but it has “Case-ID Number” on caste certificate , So , can I write “Case-ID Number” for caste certificate on MPSC profile ?
[ I mean can i consider “Case-Id Number” as “Certificate Number” as it is unique per certificate ] [Same case with Domicile certificate as well ] .
**Both certificate i obtained from Setu suvidha kendra and they said this type of certificate works for MPSC exams .

Sir, one more question who can avail ESM age relaxation for dysp. I mean only military officers or everyone who are from the same field.
@Sandesh, ESM i.e. for Ex-Servicemen from Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force are given 05 years of age relaxation. SSCOs- SHort Service Commissioned Officers and ECOs- Emergency Commissioned Officers form these Defence services are also given the same age relaxation. @Shivani, you should take a print out of the syllabus, then visit the book shop, purchase at least 4-5 books or more per subject and then start your preparation. @Vaishali, if you opt “YES” for both options and pay fees meant for open category then you will be considered for category as well as open (only in case you have not claimed age relaxation).

But sir after choosing both d option is selection being done from opn boys.. And sir since there are only 3 seats are there any possibility that obc female cutoff cud b more than opn boys.. @Pradnya, Normally, women reservation is 30% for each category. “General” means both men and women can get a seat (e.g. when a woman gets more marks than the cut-off meant for “General” then she gets a seat from “General” quota, otherwise she gets a seat from women quota). You should choose both options. Cut-off depends on the difficulty level of questions and performance of candidates in the exam, so we can’t guess it right now.

@सिद्धेश, तुमचा प्रश्न चुकला आहे. कदाचित तुमचे म्हणणे असे असेल कि SBC साठी जागा नसतील तर फी सवलत मिळेल का? बरोबर? हो, फी सवलत मिळेल. ह्यावेळी राज्यसेवेसाठी फक्त नायब तहसीलदाराची एकच जागा SBC साठी आहे परंतु मुख्य परीक्षेच्या वेळी काही पद/पदे वाढून/नवीन येऊ शकतात तर तुम्ही फी सवलत घ्या. परंतु वयोमर्यादेत सुट घेत नसाल तर मग ओपनची फी भरून तुम्ही SBC आणि ओपन जागांसाठी तुमचा विचार केला जावा का? ह्या दोन्हींचे उत्तर “YES” निवडा व ओपन ची फी भरा.

Regarding PSI adv. 2016.
In this adv. for OBC category total reservation is 0. Suppose, any OBC candidate whose current age is 29 and he has filled the form in OBC categories. then how application will considered at the time of selection because he is not feet in open category as for open category age limit is 28.
Is it possible due to OBC category, OBC candidate will get age relaxation and he is applicable for open category seats still his age is not match with requirement?
I mean, Can OBC 29 year age candidate acquire the open category seat?

@Jaydeep, in this case, he/she will NOT be considered for Open seats as he/she will be availing the age relaxation(refer para number 3.11 in the exam notification). Since, MPSC has stated in the exam notification that there is a possibility of change in vacancies/reservation and it will be included in the Main exam notification, it is advised that one should apply for PSI Pre and hope for the “change in vacancies/reservation” at the time of Main exam.

@शरद, 25 Apr 2016 च्या जी.आर.नुसार वयोमर्यादा पी.एस.आय. हे पद सोडून इतर सर्व पदांसाठी वाढविण्यात आली होती. ह्यासाठी त्या जी.आर.चा परिच्छेद क्रमांक दोन पहावा. सध्या पी.एस.आय. पदासाठी वयोमर्यादा ओपन उमेदवारांसाठी- 28वर्षे व मागासवर्गीय उमेदवारांसाठी 31वर्षेच आहे.
त्या GR मधे कुठे लिहिले आहे कि Psi शिवाय इतर पदांसाठी ५ वर्ष वाढवावे ?????

@राजदीप, 25 Apr 2016 च्या जी.आर.नुसार वयोमर्यादा पी.एस.आय. हे पद सोडून इतर सर्व पदांसाठी वाढविण्यात आली होती. ह्यासाठी त्या जी.आर.चा परिच्छेद क्रमांक दोन पहावा. सध्या पी.एस.आय. पदासाठी वयोमर्यादा ओपन उमेदवारांसाठी- 28वर्षे व मागासवर्गीय उमेदवारांसाठी 31वर्षेच आहे.
