@Laxman, please refer “MPSC STI” menu to refer the expected and actual cut offs of previous exams. For 2014 exam, it can be guessed only after the exam.

Before an year I have undegone ACL injury (knee ligamental injury ). After operation I am fine now, So my question is am I eligible for all post of mpsc/upsc including police service. And my second question is, due to some mistake at school level my fathers name on my record became “Diliprao” instead of original “Dilip”.
So now On, all my certificates, my license, Aadhar card its “Diliprao” but on my pan card and most importantly on our RATION CARD its “DILIP” so does it cause any problem during original documents checking by mpsc/upsc if it so what’s the solution. Thanks in advance.
@Nikhil, as long as your knee injury doesn’t interfere in carrying out the duties of a post, there is NO problem at all. All movements must be free from any hindrance. You may consult your Civil Surgeon about this. The name issue is not a major issue. You must use the exact name recorded in your Matriculation certificate.

@Akshay, the width should not be more than 3.5cm and Height not more than 4.5cm. The file size must not be more than 50KB. Please check this. Dont worry the last date is extended to 17th Aug 2013. But make sure to download Challan or the Payment Slip before 11:59PM on 17th Itself. From 18th Aug you will not be able to download/print it.

@Chandrakant, it depends on the date of exam in 2014. You may have your last chance if they take the exam in Jun/Jul 2014 and if they calculate the age as on 1st July 2014 or earlier. You must NOT have completed 38 yrs on that date. I am pretty sure that you will have the last chance for 2014.

Is there a website which gives information about Maharashtra Police rules and regulation regarding working hours, weekly offs and salary paid. Are there different set of rules (regarding the same) for officers appointed through UPSC..?
One year of preparation is a realistic time frame to prepare and crack MPSC..?
This years MPSC advertisement had no police openings, are there going to be any openings for Dy. SP/ACP in 2014 MPSC advertisement..? (Do you have any information from your sources)

With regard to duty hours for DySP/IPS – you are expected to be 24hrs available for any emergency. Your daily work hours are decided by the duty roster. 3. Min time required for preparation – Yes, 1 year. 4. DySP vacancies – Yes.

hello sir regarding NCL certificate is it required for open male candidate.because i just came to know that if open male candidate have this certificate he should have chance in merit list if mark matched with other candidate from open category who hasnot NCL certificate,so while filling form what to mark in front of NCL yes or no i want to fill my husband ;
@Namrata, NCL is not required for Open category Male candidates. There are other criteria for selection (if marks are same) but not NCL.

@Sam, you should refer about 70-80 books, 5 monthly magazines, 2 to 3 newspapers, online research, etc. Prepare your own Notes. Revise and attempt Mock Tests.

How to choose optional sub for UPSC..?
@Ravi, it depends on many factors. If you are comfortable with a subject you studied at graduation then go for it but its is not compulsory. You should have interest in that subject. Enough study material should be available for that subject.
Sir, is it compulsory to give Aadhar Card number while filling MPSC form . I do not have Aadhar C ard.

@Vishal, if you failed in the semesters/exam and continued giving exams in those 2 years then logically you need to need to mention 72 months.
