Myself Sudhir & I Have done my MCA from Mumbai University and currently doing job in a reputed organization. I always want to give MPSC exams and become employee of the Govt.. In 2012, I have given SS of MPSC which is held on 10th June to get some ideas of type of questions they ask. After exam i really get confused now from where i will start my preparations. If I start reading history, then in exam their are very few question on history….Please suggest me some prestigious guidelines so that i will move in right direction.

SIR I HAVE PROBLEM IN MY SIR NAME , MY SIR NAME IN 10th CLASS CERTIFICATE IS ‘DHAKANE’ & AFTER 10th CERTIFICATE ‘ DHAKNE’ IN WHICH “A” LETTER WILL BE MISSING . WHEN I WAS PASS THE MPSC EXAM ANY PROBLEM WILL BE CREAT & WHAT IS SOLUTION
@Nitin, no worry, this is not a major fault. If you have changed your surname then get the new name in government gazette and keep t ready for Interview.
Hello sir Your Assistant Mock test is supposed to start from 16 June -23. But the exam is scheduled on 17 June.

I just appeared for the mpsc prelims on 10 th june.though it was just to get acquinted with exam style but found it vry diversed.will prepare for a year now and appear again..i am keen on seeking guidance on hw should i approch i am working and i dnt want to quit my job,also if a candidate is through all do they get option for work locations by any chance.

I am in my I year PG in M.A Human Resource Management.I do really have interest and passion in becoming an Indian Foreign Service ever since my school days.However due to unclear guidance and improper decision i took Political science as my core subject in U.G.Since i am not that much interested in that subject i change to Human Resource Management in Master degree
.I still have that passion to become IFS officer.
So what subject will be much suitable for optional I & II for my preparation? I am a little bit confused.I need your guidance in selecting my optional paper for my preparation.
what optional papers if i took would be scoring – Psychology,Geography,International relations and Management.,etc

@Gogou, every subject is scoring if you prepare well. I personally feel that Pol Sci and International relations is good for IFS. It will give you excellent knowledge that you can utilise during your service career. 2nd choice should be Management.

@Amol, we do not monitor that exam so we are unable to assist you in this matter.
Sir i had made a mistake in sti pre. I had darken on 1 instead of 0 in the begining. i had written correct no. in the box. I told same to examinar but he said its ok.what should i do now? I have already posted the same question.plz guide me sir………..

@Amol, mitra readymade Notes waparu naye. Latest example is Rajyaseva Prelims that was held on 10th Jun 2012. You have to use Reference books.

@Prashant, it depends on governement requisition for the vacancies then only MPSC will decide about cut-offs for increased vacancies.

sir myself mahesh rasane i have given both STI pre and STATE service I got 210 Marks in STI and I am expecting 125-130 in SS so on which exam should i focus and what will be the cut off for SS.And thank you very much for your valuable advices

Second time I post this message, please respond me. I have scored 202 in STI-2012, & I am belonging to SC category. Shall I start to prepare main exam or continue to prepare ASST pre exam. Please confirm which is better post between STI and ASST. Thanks for your kind support.
@Milind, you have excellent score so concentrate on Mains. Don’t waste precious time over the cut off issue. Go for STI.
I had given this years STI pre exam and i just got confused that how come this guy is expecting a score of 202 and also you are saying that the chances of cut-off are in the range of 180-190. The paper had written on it that the total marks are 150 so how come you are saying about the scores?

hello sir, i have given mpsc exam. i feel paper was bit difficult trying to be at par with upsc. i expect cut off would be lower as their were more analytical qeustions and length of paper. in your opinion what will be cut off for open? i expect around 127-128 marks after substracting negatives. pleaze reply.

as per primary ans key of STIP i got 174, worried about the fact that cut off will be around 180-190, cant concentrate on reading for mains as my score seem below the line, what to do sir, plz guid me. Ton of thanx.
@Suhas, your preparation of Main will NEVER go in vain, ok? So relax. Watch a Charlie Chaplin or Laurel Hardy’s movie (get a DVD) and get refreshed. If you don’t make it this year, you will be ready for 2013 by covering Main’s syllabus, right? Get going NOW!!!
sir there is feeling that this year rajyaseva prelimis was tougher similar to UPSC .And with increase intake .Can we hope to cut off to Drop to 120?

@Yash, yes, you have a chance, I suppose. Do not keep worrying about it, focus on the forthcoming exam. Have u seen Rajyaseva Pre 2012 paper? You cna expect questions on similar lines for STI/PSI Mains. All the best.

@Milind, yes, this will be continued and Main’s paper would be more tougher than Prelims. So keep reading widely. Focus on factual information and try to analyse it and lastly form few questions on that information/analysis. This way you will be able to come to the right answer in the exam.

@Shweta, 82×2= 164 is somewhat on borderline. We expect a cut of between 160-180 for SC female. Keep preparing for Mains.

@Atul, please read the “General Instructions” PDF document available on the MPSC website. There are certain conditions well explained. As far as I know, spects are allowed for Dy SP/ACP if the specifications are met.
