Learn From Failures – MPSC 2011

प्रिय मित्रांनो,

तुमच्या पैकी काही जणांनी १३ फेब्रुवारी २०११ च्या राज्यसेवा परीक्षेत फार उत्तम परफॉरमन्स दिला असेल, होय ना? गुड!

ज्यांनी उत्तम परफॉरमन्स दिला: त्यांनी मात्र एक दिवसही वाया ना घालवता (Already तुम्ही ३ दिवस आराम केलात ना! लगेच मुख्य परीक्षेच्या तयारीला लागा. सर्वात प्रथम,

  • मुख्य परीक्षा काय असते ते ह्या ब्लोगवर वाचून काढा.
  • २ वैकल्पिक विषय निवडावे लागतात ते सुद्धा ह्याच ब्लोगवर दिलेल्या “Syllabus” पेजवर आहेत, त्यांचा “Syllabus” नीट पाहून घ्या आणि मग कोणते २ विषय मुख्य परीक्षेसाठी निवडायचेत ते ठरवा. जमत नसेल तर मला काल करा, मी सुचवेल. माझा नंबर “MPSC Success मंत्र” पेजवर आहेच.

  • मुख्य परीक्षा ही फार महत्वाची असते, तुम्ही ह्या परीक्षेची तयारी एक्स्पर्ट गायडंस खालीच केली तर तुमच्या डोक्यावरील ताण फार कमी होतो आणि तुम्हाला गाईड करायला कोणी असलं तर तुम्ही फक्त अभ्यास करायचा, बाकी काम आमच आहे. हे लक्षात ठेवा.

ज्यांनी उत्तम परफॉरमन्स दिला नाही:त्यांनी हार मानू नये.”हार” म्हणजे “तुमची हार नव्हे!” तुम्ही सफल होवू शकले नाही. सफल होण्यासाठी बऱ्याचदा असफल व्हाव लागते. सफल होण्यासाठी थोडाफार वेळ लागू शकतो. आज जरी तुम्ही सफल झाले नाही तर काय झालं? कारण तुम्ही आज परफेक्ट नाही पण प्रयत्नाने तुम्ही मात्र स्वतःला परफेक्ट करू शकता. एम.पी.एस.सी. परीक्षेत एक दिवस तुम्ही सफल व्हाल हे स्वप्न नेहमी नेहमी पाहत रहा. लक्षात ठेवा की ज्ञान ही एक शक्ती आहे आणि एम.पी.एस.सी. परीक्षेसाठी सर्व syllabus ला समजून घेवून उचित वेळेवर तयारी करणे. त्यासाठी उचित मार्गदर्शन करणारे गुरु असावे लागतील.

आळस, लापरवाही, अभिमान, क्रोध, इत्यादी दूर फेकून द्या.

महत्वाकांक्षी बना, तुमचे प्रतिस्पर्धी फार आहेत तर तुम्ही ह्या वर्षी पूर्व परीक्षेत का असफल झालात ते शोधून काढा. कुठे कमी पडलात ते समजून घ्या आणि तिथे कसा सुधार घडवून आणू शकता हे कळेल. तुमच्यापैकी बरेच जण म्हणतील की पूर्णपणे तयारी होवू शकली नाही, उत्तरं येत होती पण वेळ मिळाला नाही, सर्व येत होत पण माहित नाही काय झालं, जो अभ्यास केला ते आलंच नाही वगेरे वगेरे.

आम्हाला माहित आहे की खालील पैकी कारणांमुळेच बहुतेक उमेदवार असफल होतात:

  • पूर्ण तयारी होवू शकली नाही
  • प्रश्न कसे सोडवायचेत  त्याची माहिती नसणे
  • मानसिक तणाव
  • वेळेच प्रबंधन

बघा मित्रांनो. आता तीच चूक करू नका जी तुम्ही ह्या वेळी केलीत. आमचं मार्गदर्शन घ्या जर तुम्हाला १००% सफलता मिळवायची असेल तर.

आम्ही तुमची सर्व तयारी करून घेवू जर तुम्ही आमचा पी.जी.पी. जॉईन केला तर. आमच्या गायडंस मुळे तुमचं एक वर्ष वाचू शकते, जर आमच्या स्टडी प्लान नुसार तुम्ही तयारी केलीत तर.

आता वेळ वाया न घालवता २०१२ च्या तयारीला लागा. आजच आम्हाला काल करा.

Plan for Answering Questions at MPSC Rajyaseva Prelims 2011

Things to be followed for MPSC State Services Prelims Exam 2011

Be positive, think positive. Remember, a cool mind can give you 100% success, so never lose your patience. If you get panicky then you will lose precious time. Relax.

On 12th Feb, make the following things ready for the exam on 13th Feb 2011:

  • Black Ball Pen – 02
  • Wrist Watch (make sure it is working perfectly). It must have “Second Hand” that shows seconds. Sekand kaata asayla hawa.
  • Hall Ticket
  • Water Bottle (Apane ghar ka pani hamesha swasth rehata hai, sharmane wali koi bat nahi).
  • A good pair of socks (cleaned properly. No need to buy new pair)
  • A very good set of clothes. (If you wear decent clothes, your confidence will be on the higher side)
  • If you wear spectacles (eyeglasses), make sure they are in perfect condition.
  • Well polished shoes or good pair of Chappals.
  • Writing Pad (for keeping Answer Sheet on the pad in case the table top is uneven or rough).
  • No medicine of any type. Kontyach prakarch medicine khaavu naka..

On 13th Feb 2011: (Exam)

  • Make sure that you got everything with you from the above list.
  • Start early from your home to avoid traffic jam etc. Gharun lavkar nigha.
  • After reaching the exam center, check your exam Hall and find out where is your Seat Number.
  • Check for Toilet and go get yourself freshen up just before the exam. Remember, you will not be allowed to come out of exam hall.
  • In the exam hall, check your chair, if it is broken, get it replaced; otherwise you may not be able to concentrate on your paper.
  • Remove your wrist watch and keep it on the table so that you can have a look at it while answering the questions.
  • Check your Answer Sheet and read all instructions. If you are not able to understand anything, ask your examiner. Fill-up required information.
  • Quickly read the entire question paper as soon as you get it. Check for printing mistakes, if any. This MUST be done in 5 minutes.
  • Start answering the question paper.
  • Do not get panicky, if you find some questions difficult. As you already know that you are not gifted to understand each and everything. This is same with every one so do not get angry, either. Leave the most difficult questions and move on.
  • Do not spend more than 30 seconds on one question at a time. The break up of the time for entire duration is as follows:
    • 200 questions – 120 minutes
      • 5 min – initial reading  (11 AM to 11:05 AM)
      • 100 min for 200 questions = 6000 for 200 questions i.e. 30 seconds (1/2 minute) for answering each question in the first round. (11:05 AM to 12:45 PM)
      • 15 min – revision of difficult  questions (12:45 PM to 1 PM)
  • Answer easy question first so that you gain confidence.
  • Keep your eye on the wrist watch so that you monitor the seconds.
  • If you cannot answer a question in 30 seconds, leave it for next round. You can answer it in the last 15 minutes
  • After you have completed entire question paper within the 100 minutes, make another round of the remaining questions and try to answer them. Remember that you must answer all questions within this time i.e. (11:05 AM to 12:45 PM).
  • If you find that you cannot answer them, just leave them unanswered. Remember that wrong answers can draw penalty. For 4 wrong answers, 1 mark will be deducted; so be careful.
  • When you have used up the 100 minutes, i. e. at 12:45 pm, start revising your entire question paper from question number 1 till the last question. Check for the unanswered questions and try to answer them if you know the most correct answer. Do not answer it if you are unable to arrive at the right answer. This is to avoid the negative marking.
  • Stop writing exactly when the examiner warns you.
  • Good luck!

Need of the Hour

Dear Friends, it is almost 1 year of blogging since 28 Feb 2010; and after providing guidance to thousands of aspirants of MPSC, UPSC exams, I was surprised to know that most of the people I came across, do not know the basics of MPSC and UPSC exams. It is due to their lack of knowledge or  non-availability of information in the manner that every Marathi speaking aspirant can understand.

It is very sad that these people spent almost 3 to 4 years of efforts at MPSC and UPSC exams but could not clear them, not even the 1st step, Prelims!

Why?

This is because they do not know what books to study, what magazines to read or what type of preparation they need for such tough exams. They even do not know how much time is required for the serious preparation for these exams. This was the main reason that made me write MPSC Success Mantra – The Complete Manual. But even after this, I was unable to understand why people are still ignorant of the exam system and its requirements.

I can truly understand that not every one can afford the Manual due to its cost. I also tried to write on various topics but people do not find time to explore the blog, either they do not have time or do not want to spend their time on this.

Dream Comes True

प्रिय मित्रांनो,
आज मला अत्यानंद होतोय तुम्हाला सांगायला की मी लिहिलेलं “एम.पी.एस.सी. सक्सेस मंत्र – द कम्प्लीट म्यनुअल” ९ डिसेंबर रोजी एका लहानशा पण प्रभावी सोहळ्यात प्रकाशित झालं आणि ते सुद्धा मी खूप अगोदर पाहिलेल्या उंच स्वप्नासारखंच, अगदी तसंच. माझ्या अजून एका स्वप्नाची पूर्तता झाली हे मला आवर्जून सांगावसं वाटतं.  आणि म्हणूनच मी नेहमीच तुम्हाला सांगत असतो की बाबांनो स्वप्न नेहमीच बघा कारण स्वप्न बघितल्याशिवाय ते पूर्ण व्हायचा प्रश्नच उठत नाही. स्वप्न बघा आणि मग ते पूर्ण करण्यासाठी प्रयत्न करा. अगदी आकाश एवढ स्वप्न बघा आणि मग ते पूर्ण करा. हो, ते अगदी शक्य आहे. बघाना, माझं स्वप्न सुद्धा पूर्ण झालंय.

माझं हे स्वप्न पूर्ण करण्यात सर्वात मोठा हातभार आहे माननीय श्री. रमेश पहुरकर (बँक ऑफ महाराष्ट्र – ओझर शाखेचे मुख्य प्रबंधक) ह्यांचा. त्यांच्याच पुढाकाराने माझ्या पुस्तकाला एवढा मोठा प्ल्याटफॉर्म लाभला.  त्या बद्दल मी त्यांचा फार आभारी आहे.

मित्रांनो, माझी एक विनंती आहे की माझ्या “एम.पी.एस.सी. सक्सेस मंत्र – द कम्प्लीट म्यनुअल” ला एकदा तरी वाचून काढा आणि त्यात असलेल्या तृती मला कळवा. काही तांत्रिक कारणामुळे बऱ्याचशा चुका (स्पेलिंग मिस्टेक्स) त्यात आहेत. मला जो font पाहिजे होता तो न मिळाल्यामुळे मी जो font वापरला त्यात बरेचशे अक्षर नव्हते म्हणून बरेचसे शब्द चुकीच्या पद्धतीने लिहिल्या गेलेत तर त्यासाठी मला क्षमा करा. मी पुढील आवृत्तीत त्या चुका दुरुस्त करील.

बऱ्याच दिवसानंतर मला वेळ मिळाला तुमच्याशी बोलायला.

तुमची आवडती एम्.पि.एस.सी. राज्यसेवा परीक्षा लवकरच येत आहे, हो ना? मग लागलात की नाही तयारीला? तुमच्यापैकी बहुतेक बऱ्याच जणांनी अभ्यासाला सुरवात केलेली असेल आणि बाकी फ़क्त परिक्षेची जाहिरात केव्हा येते ह्याचीच वाट पाहत बसलेले असतील, तुम्ही तर त्यापैकी नाही ना?

एक लक्षात असू दया की कसलीही परीक्षा असो, त्यात स्पर्धा तर असणारच पण राज्यसेवेसराखी परीक्षा असली तर मग ही स्पर्धा जीवघेणी होवून जाते कारण प्रत्येकाला वाटत असते की आपण उप-जिल्हाधिकारी व्हाव. बरोबर ना?

राज्यसेवा म्हणा की यु.पि.एस.सी. सिविल सर्विसेस परीक्षा म्हणा, स्पर्धा ही जीवघेणीच असते. प्रत्येकजन जोमाने तयारीला लागतो (आपली मराठी मुल  मात्र ह्या बाबतीत फार मागे आहेत). ह्या परीक्षा डोक्यावर फार ताण आणून देतात. पण ताण येण्या सारख  काय असेल बर ह्याचा विचार कधी केलात का? आपण काय करतो की जो पर्यंत परीक्षा अगदी डोक्यावर येत नाही तो पर्यंत अभ्यासाला सुरवातच करत नाही आणि मग मात्र जेव्हा परीक्षा जवळ येते तेव्हा आपण तयारीला लागतो, अभ्यासाला लागतो. जसजशी परीक्षा जवळ येते तसा ताण मग डोक्यावर पडायला सुरुवात होते आणि तो शेवट पर्यंत वाढतच जातो जर का आपला अभ्यास पूर्ण झाला नाही तर!

मित्रांनो, तुम्हाला माहित तर असेलच की ह्या परीक्षेला कमीत कमी एक वर्षाची तयारी तरी लागते.

म्हणून आता वेळ वाया ना घालवता परिक्षेच्या तयारीला लागा.

* सर्वात आधी पुस्तकांची यादी बनवा आणि विकत घ्या.

* दररोज न्यूजपेपर वाचायला सुरुवात करा.

* किती वेळ उपलब्ध आहे दररोज अभ्यास करायला ते बघा

* प्रत्येक पुस्तकाच प्लानिंग करा आणि त्याप्रमाणे सिल्याबस पूर्ण करा.

* खुप प्रश्न पत्रिका सोडवा.

* दररोज जितका अभ्यास व्हायला पाहिजे तो पूर्ण कराच, मागे ठेवू नका नाहीतर उगाच डोक्यावर टेंशन येवून बसेल.

* फ़क्त एक गोष्ट लक्षात ठेवा, प्लानिंग, प्लानिंग, प्लानिंग, आणि फ़क्त प्लानिंग. त्याशिवाय मार्गच नाही बर का!
