Prelims exam on 22 April 2012.
Total vacancies – 600 (but likely to be more than 2000 by Main exam. This is our guess.)
Age : As on 1st Jul 2012: 19 to 28 yrs (31 for Reserved categories, SC/ST/OBC, etc)
Payscale: Rs.9,300 – 34, 800/- (Grade Pay 4300) + DA. Total pay Rs. 21,752/-.

@Ram, max age limit for Open is 28. You will get 10 yrs age relaxation (5 Ex-Ser + 5 yrs NT).

Sir, I scored 171/300(Solved 124/150 questions and right answers 93/124-with 31 wrong answers) in STI EXAM and I am from open category, sir is there any 5-10 % chances to clear the pre. so that I can study with confidence expecting some chance. And I also want to ask will they recruit more? Is there any chance that vacancies will increase? Thanks plz reply so I can plan my time.
@Prafulla, you may not clear STI Prelims as your score is less than expected 180-190. Concentrate on 2013 exam. Vacancies may or may not increase.

@Ganesh, yes, prepare for Mains according to the syllabus. Read extensively. Prepare Notes, Revise and attempt mock tests.

@Deepika, you can choose whatever field you wish. There is no specific requirement for MPSC with regard to stream. Yes, you should have a back up plan so go for B Sc or BE Civil (in addition to MPSC Rajyaseva, you can also apply for Maharashtra Engg Service after BE Civil). Pre , Main and Interview.. mala short madhe sagal ka… ki how the whole process goes. and PSI sathi konta book refer karu je mala complete clear knowledge del about PSI and PSI syllabus

@Mohasin, PSI exam fee Rs. 260 asate. Syllabus pramane tayari karawi. Darroj kamitkami 4 te 5 taas abhyaas vhaylach pahije. Aathvdyatun ek wela tari prashnpatrika sodvun pahavyaat.

@Nilesh, this year’s PSI Pre is over. You can start preparing for 2013. DO NOT waste your precious time. If you prepare seriously for 1 year then you can clear it in 1st attempt. Explore “MPSC PSI” menu for complete information.

@Deepak, shakyata aahe. Wadhlyat tar 1800 – 2200 hovu shaktaat pan ha fakt majha andaaj aahe, official figure nahi he lakshat thewave.

@Nikhil, at the time of result and for OBC it may be 200-210 and may go lower if vacancies increase.

@Chandrakant, as far as I know, the announcement of Main exam is released the very next day of the Pre result so they may calculate the Pre Cut-off according to increased vacancies for Main exam.

i am army person 13years service and my age 32 year and qualification running 3 rd year from jun 2012
i belong to obc cast. what is my age relax for obc cast and after ex-serviceman can i apply to psi 2013 pre main exam and in phy test how many pull ups to 40 marks plz to guid me
@Govind, Jai Hind dear, there are 2 things. 1) You can’t apply for PSI 2013 as ex-serviceman, because you need to complete 15 yrs of Army service. 2) You can’t apply for PSI 2013 as OBC candidates because max age limit as OBC candidate is 31 yrs (28 for Open + 3 yrs for OBC = 31) and you have already completed that. So my suggestion is that you complete your 15 yrs of Army service. By then your age would be 34 yrs. Then, you will get age relaxation benefits of Ex-Serviceman (5 yrs) + OBC 3 yrs = 8 yrs benefit. You can apply for the PSI exam till the age of 36 yrs. This is the ONLY way for you to get the PSI post.
