Prelims exam on 22 April 2012.
Total vacancies – 600 (but likely to be more than 2000 by Main exam. This is our guess.)
Age : As on 1st Jul 2012: 19 to 28 yrs (31 for Reserved categories, SC/ST/OBC, etc)
Payscale: Rs.9,300 – 34, 800/- (Grade Pay 4300) + DA. Total pay Rs. 21,752/-.

Sir , in PSI pre 2012 I answered 109 correctly, 32 wrong , 6 unsolved , 1 mpsc deleted & 2 correct but answer key says wrong ( goa & 33 zp ). I belong to open cat . do I qualify for mains ?
@Suraj, yes, your score comes to 210 and I guess that 210-220 would be the cut-off for Open. If vacancies increase then it may go even low so start preparing for Mains without wasting your precious time.

Sir, I am belonging to OBC category & my total score is 152 of PSI pre. 2012.There is any possibility for me to appear in mains which such a low score. Also, if vacancy is in crises then any chance for me.
I am also preparing for STI & Asstt. exm. please guide me for that.

I want to apply for ASST pre 2012,but there is not single reservation for my category,so i want to apply through open category so i should change my cast as a open in profile ?or i can apply with my orignal category ,thr is nt any instrn abt ths In mpsc site thats why im asking u ..pls help ,thank u.
@Chandrakant, you should have mentioned your category here. Anyways, while applying for the exam, DO NOT claim reservation then automatically you will be treated as Open candidate without changing your caste n category in your profile.

@amol, you may get a chance only if vacancies increase. Start preparing for Main exam, don’t waste precious time (for 2013).

@Rakesh, there might be a difference of 4 to 8 marks but the cut off may low if vacancies increase.

@Deepak, you should not waste your precious time over this, start preparing for Mains. Cut off can be between 210 to 220 and may go down if vacancies increase.

I like to know that, ths commison(Mpsc) how they arrange the cut-off list ,I mean based on total vaccancy,based on overall exam(easy/hard) ,or based on marks that student get..or anyother criteria they use for cut of list…thank you,
@Chandrakant, From Prelims, MPSC chooses 12 to 13 times (of the total vacancies allotted for the category) candidates for MPSC Main exam for that category. Based on number of candidates, available vacancies for each category, MPSC decides cut-off.

Im falling in d DT-A category and i scored 202 according to the first answer key ,so any chance for qualifiy in main exam? & the avrg. Score for my category was around 202-03, what u thnk sir ths year cut of list?

@Akshay, 2 marks will be cut for every 4 wrong answers so it is from 300.

@Gopal, you score seems to be low but if vacancies increase then you have a chance. Dont waste time on thinking about cut-off, start immediately for Main exam’s preparation.

@Prathamesh, just skip this negative thought, okay? Start preparing for Main exam. The vacamcies may increase and you may get a chance. Even if you don’t get it then also you WILL have to prepare for Main exam first and then prelims 2013; so your preparation will NOT go in vain. Concentrate on the preparation dear. Watch Charlie Chaplin’s movie once in a week and laugh at least for an hour and then go full-throttle for preparation. ok?

@ChitteBM, you will not be getting any concession because neither you ex-serviceman nor you are in your final year of service. 5 yrs age relaxation is available to eligible person, which you are not. You will have to apply as general candidate. Please read the entire blog for important information.

hii sir this is abhijit……i want to give p.s.i. pre exam 2012….i thought that it is on 10 june 2012….but today i came to know that it is on 22 april.2012…so will i able to complete studies in 37 days…and what’s the syllabus for p.s.i. pre..and mains exam? is it same as rajyaseva pre exam?…..i had taken rajyaseva pre exam books….so can i do my preparation from rajyaseva books…and can i apply for both p.s.i. pre exam and rajyaseva pre exam…….plzzzz reply sir…i am in seroius tension…..
