If MPSC Rajyaseva Exam-2012 is postphoned, what will be age limit (Plz. specify Last date & Month)for appearing for exams. Can you guide me?

@Varsha, if you are from SC/ST/OBC/NT etc then you have 5 yrs age relaxation.
I am completing 33yrs. on 25/03/1979. I am from open category. So I can not appear for the exam. I am very interested in this type of job. But unfortunately my age limit is not valid for appearing the exam. So,Plz. suggest me if there is any other exam like this considering my age limit.

@Ajay, in 2011 these were the vacancies PSI-1869, STI-168, Asst-157. Yes, exam are conducted every year. Nowadays, exam are being conducted as per schedule but they may get postponed for few days/months due to unavoidable reasons but this happens very rarely.

@Abhishek, MPSC’s unpredictability cannot be ruled out.
So, as of now 18th Dec 2011, it has not been announced. It can be said that if it is announced between 19th and 31st Dec, exam will be only in May or early Jun 2012. But, it is MPSC, so nothing can constructively be said about it.

@Ajay, there were 290 posts in 2011 (at the time of Rajyaseva Main exam). Yes, the exam is conducted every year. The exam doesn’t get postponed except under exceptional circumstances. This year the syllabus and pattern has been changed so exam may be rescheduled.

MPSC syllabus has change for mains but there is no changes made in prelim exam.

I have attended some workshop on MPSC preparation in Pune… there they told that prelims syllabus is unlikely to change for this year…. whats your views on this?? Please guide.
@Abhishek, am pretty sure that Prelims syllabus is going to change for 2012 that’s why they have removed the exam schedule for Pre & Mains from their PDFs. Don’t worry, prepare according to the old syllabus and u will save precious time. There won’t be too much difference, only new topics will be added and few removed.

@Nikita, please understand that NOW you will have to read extensively according to the syllabus so you cannot depend on just one COMBINED book, ok? You WILL HAVE to read at least 20 books for Prelims and 55 books for Mains. At present there are no specific books written for Mains (new syllabus) so the information is scattered over 55 books for Mains. Do this if you want to succeed else you will be facing failures for not covering entire syllabus. The new system seems very easy to eyes but its going to be heavy on your mind, so follow 3 rules…1) Read Extensively, 2)Read Extensively, and 3) Read Extensively!!!

Yet there is no declaration of new syllabus for prelim on mpsc’s official site, if it is 2 b happen then how should one study d completely new topics (as u mentioned above) within 2 n half months…wether it will b possible 2 get d books according 2 new pattern or one will hav 2 study d topics from separate material…..
@Rohit, yes, as of now, there is no official declaration but sooner or later it will come out. As far as I can understand, the Prelims may be postponed by 2 months (minimum) and it might be conducted on 6th or 13th May 2012, so you will get enough time for preparation.
