Here is the schedule of exams being conducted by MPSC in 2012:

Please do not get confused about the words “Direct Entry”. There are two types of exams held by MPSC, 1. Direct entry exam for all candidates, and 2. Departmental exam for only THOSE candidates who are already in the lower rungs in the department and they can apply for this exam to improve their career. For example, a Police Constable can give departmental exam to become PSI.

sir i m sangram, the 2012 psi exam run to new syllabus or old? sir in psi pre exam how much study requird & how to do study? now i m busy in my mba exam , so i m start my study in end of decembar, it is possibal or suficient to pre exam?

@Vijay, I 100% agree with you that everyone should serve the country for at least 5 yrs. In other words, there should be a provision for allowing young people to join Army/Navy/Air Force for at least 5 yrs at all levels (jawan/officer). At this moment, there is Short Service Commission (min 5 yrs) for Officer level and not at Jawan/Airman/Seaman level.

@Vaman, you need to be at least 165 CMs tall, a graduate and max age limit is 33 yrs + 5 yrs (backward classes).

sir, iam 12th pass. attached to police department since 1993.
i have appeared for psi exams 2006,i was cleared(pre exm) but due to some official records i was not allowed to sit for main exam.
MY QUESTION IS
why department(police) is involved when iam eligible for exams(clearing pre)

Dear sir, I’m doing final year student engineering and i have decided to prepare for MPSC state services exam. I don’t find any special book only for MPSC state services written in English as i’m thinking to go for the exam in English medium. Are there books specially written for MPSC state services in english..?? Do suggest me..!! What is fee structure for your distance course for MPSC state services..?/? What is average salary for STI and Assistant..??

@Purnima, you can become IAS/IPS through UPSC Civil Services exam (Prelims on 20th May 2012) and Deputy Collector/Dy SP/ACP/Tehsildar/Naib Tehsildar, etc through MPSC State Services exam(Prelims on 12th Feb 2012).
You can realise your dream by joining our 1 year PGP for any of the above exams. Read the article “How our PGP works?” and “Miracle 2012”.

@Suheb, you need to keep an eye on the mpsc official website for “Maharashtra Engg Services Exam” notification. Since we do not provide guidance for this exam so we do not monitor it. However, if you wish, you can join our 1 year PGP for State Services (to become Dy SP/ACP, Deputy Collector, Tehsildar, etc)

@Shridhar, as far as I know, they choose people from the department who have the qualification and experience. You can join as Dy SP/ACP/PSI and then opt to work on Cyber Cell or IT Department, etc.

@Sonam, do not waste your time. Go to your nearest Police Headquarters and get their help in getting to know the physical test details.

@Deepa, The exam for Tehsildar is MPSC Rajyaseva Exam and the Prelims exam will be on 12th Feb 2012. You will need to register on MPSC website and when the notification comes up in Dec 2011, you can apply. Read our MPSC Success Mantra for complete guidance, ok? Here are the details of the manual:

Hon. Sir, there is UPSC pre in 20 May 2012 & at the same time MPSC mains starts from 15 May onwards. is there clash of these exams. How can we manage ? your reply will give the boost to my preparation… wating for ur reply.
@Nitin, as per norms, there won’t be clash of exam on a given day. There will be no paper of MPSC Main exam on that Sunday when UPSC CIvil Services Exam is conducted. So do not get worried.
