Some facts about candidates being called for Main Exam:
If there are 20 vacancies reserved for SC students then 13 times candidates (of these reserved vacancies) are called to fill-up Main exam’s form.
Calculation: 20 x 13 = 260
(20 vacancies x 13 times = 260 candidates)
Some facts about candidates being called for Interview:
If there are 20 vacancies reserved for SC students then 2 to 3 times candidates (of these reserved vacancies) are called for Interview.
Calculation: 20 x 3 = 60
(20 vacancies x 3 times = 60 candidates)

@Rahul, you have to collect about 75 books in total for MPSC State Services Pre and Main exam. There are about 5 monthly magazines, too. a- while i was writing exam of GS + optional i was informed that there is no -ve marking.. as there was no guideline regarding -ve marking on booklet and advertisement also.. is it so? becoz on ur blog after going thru of posts i got that there was -ve marking??
b- which data of cut off u hv published on ur blog.. is it of gs only ? or combined GS+Optional?

@Alok, yes, it is common exam for IAS/IPS. The option will be available at Main exam form and Interview. You can join our PGP for Civil Services and we will take care of your books, magazines, study plans. Join immediately because you do not have much time in your hands for the preparation.

i am had a query which i want to ask . in this prilim i solved 170 question out of which 134 are correct and 36 are wrong so sum down upto 125. i belong to obe(female) category. so, honestly what are my chance to this year
@Rajashri, you can start your preparation for Mains because as per 2010 cut-off, you will make it to the Mains this year so there is no problem at all. Good luck for your Main exam.

@Priyanka, since the Prelims 2011 exam is being conducted 3 months earlier than previous exam, there would be less candidates so it is not feasible to give you exact cut-off but you can take it between 120 to 135 for women (open category).

I have scored 298.5 in Sales tax as per the final answer key of commision. There cut of is 296 for SC but ,i have not been listed in passed candidates.
@Rupesh, there must be an error on MPSC’s part so contact the commission’s office and they will sort out this matter, go personally.

I saw an NT(b) candidate getting selected in that PSI exam with final marks of 502.If you consider the same cut off and difficulty level,then what do you think the final cut of for assistant and sales tax 2009 would be?Also for assistant do they conduct interview?
