2STW, yes, you can. Compare the syllabus and prepare a list of similarities and dissimilarities in both of them. Prepare a study plan for each topic. Refer about 70-90 books in total and study in-depth. Prepare your own Notes. Go for revision at intervals and then attempt lots of Mock Tests.
Can you help me? How to start study and which study material are useful specially UPSC main exam?

@Kajal, it depends on the percentile system so I have not calculated anything as of now. Exam result may be declared anytime now or max by 15th Jan 2014.

Sir, Most of time there is a confusion while selecting the books because there are so many books available in market for MPSC. You are providing the list of books in e-prospectus heading.I want to know whether these books are written by you or these are already available in market.I am asking because for getting that list i need to pay you RS525. For sharing the list of books RS525? are these books so effective? In depth study of these books is enough? or else books is required out of your list?
@Rahul, please refer the eprospectus and buy the books (in total 70) for Pre + Mains. All these books have been written by well-known authors and published by known publications (the list is exhaustive). I have written MPSC SUccess Mantra – The Complete Manual.
Sir Thank You for your valuable reply, Because i tried MPSC exams of old pattern and that time i refereed so many books. I was comfortable with books for preliminary but for mains exam………messed up. Because for proper study i should go through mains exam books. Just wanted to know , will your list of books help me to prepare for pre and mains ? Thank You

Sir i knw its not possible to guess expected cut off fr psi mains due to percentile method.but plz sir fr stdnt like me want jst guidance frm u sir.plz sir atleast give ur prediction sir.its nearly to the cut offs we knw..plz sir ur guess is imp fr further process.
@Pandurang, how can I guess the max scorer? It depends on the caliber of the candidate. No one can know who would be the highest scorer and what score (s)he would score in a particular exam. So stop worrying about it and concentrate on your preparation. Aim At Sky and Shoot High!

@प्रवीण, अभ्यास करतांना जास्तीत जास्त पुस्तके, मासिके, व इतर माहिती वाचून सखोल अभ्यास करायला हवा आणि मग त्यावर स्वत:चे नोट्स तयार करावेत. रिविजन करूनच प्रश्न सोडवण्याचा सराव करावा. त्यासाठी मित्रांकडून किंवा सरांकडून प्रश्न तयार करून घ्यावेत. क्वालिटी प्रश्न असतील तर तसे प्रश्नसंच सोडवावेत. राज्यसेवेची जाहिरात आली आहे त्यामुळे पूर्व परीक्षा वेळेवर होईल.

I have done my MBA and looking forward to to became DYSP or Deputy collector. I am currently working. My question is that from past 8 year i have been studying in english and now it is difficult for me to read and understand notes in marathi as compare to english(however i am a marathi student) so how i can tackle this problem and another question is that if i spend 5 hourse every day on my studies how much time it require to clear exam and it is important to join class???
@Kiran, 1) You can refer study material in English as well as Marathi. All you need to do is understand it after in-depth study and then prepare “your own” Notes. Remember my words “NEVER READ or REFER readymade Notes”. 2) Yes, 5 hrs’ quality preparation everyday for 1 year can do wonders. You should prepare for 2015 exam and NOT 2014 because of lack of preparation/less available time. 3) You can join our NexgGenPGP that can be completed from your home itself, without a need to attend any class.

@Bharati, you have to submit Domicile of Maharashtra in your maiden name so if you have it then only you can apply for MPSC exams.
